DATA TO HELP FEED THE WORLD

Reliable and cost effective way to acquire data for permitting and operations of polluting and non-polluting farming. Environmental impact monitoring of conditions including identifying pathogens and monitoring fish growth.

Aquaculturists - Fishers - Regulators

SITE SELECTION AND SURVEYING:

Bathymetry throughout the tide cycle , temperature, salinity, current vectors , bottom characteristics and benthic characterization.

SITE MONITORING:

Sediment and benthic data, temporal and spatial variability, dissolved oxygen levels, turbidity water sample collection for environmental DNA (eDNA).

SITE PLANNING:

Monitor organic enrichment levels for fallowing, determine appropriate timescales for site remediation.

Scenario:

A small coastal fishery needs to record water quality data to be used in fish stock and environmental health reporting. The JaiaBot-BIO is deployed in and around the farm.

Response:

A  JaiaBot pod is deployed from the shore and quickly transits to fish pens. The JaiaBots gather data and collect water samples through the water column adjacent to the pens. Real-time data collected includes temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity. The collected water samples are taken back to the lab for assays and eDNA analysis. The bots also collect data on the concentration of dissolved oxygen and temperature of the water in the region, allowing the fishermen to understand the way the body of water is changing from day to day (which may affect the migratory patterns of the fish).
